The short version
- Every print is made to order by our print partner, so it is produced after you buy.
- UK customers have a legal 14-day right to cancel and return standard items (section 7). This does not apply to custom course maps, which are made to your specification (section 4).
- US customers: because each print is made to order, we can't take back a print because you changed your mind, but if anything is wrong we will put it right (sections 8 and 9).
- If your order arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, tell us within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you.
- Unframed prints ship free. Shipping on framed prints is shown at checkout.
- Our maps are art, not navigation. They are not for use on the course or for betting, planning or surveying (section 2).

1. About us and these terms
Links Art (“we”, “us”, “our”) sells cartographic golf course prints through linksart.co.uk. Our contact details are at the end of these terms. They apply to every order and to your use of the website. Please read them before you order. By placing an order you agree to them.
The version of these terms in force when you place your order is the one that applies to it. We may update them from time to time, and changes will not affect an order you have already placed.
“Consumer” means an individual buying for purposes mostly outside their trade, business or profession. Where these terms give rights to consumers, those rights are yours if you are a consumer. If you are buying for a business, sections 7 and 9 do not apply to you in the same way, and our liability is as set out in section 14.
2. Our products
We sell art prints of golf courses, drawn from open map data and laid out as a cartographic map with a scorecard. Prints are available unframed or framed (in the colours and sizes shown on each product page), printed on matte paper.
- Made to order. Each print is produced after you order by one of our print and fulfilment partners, which act on our behalf. Printing and framing is done locally to you where possible.
- Sizes. Sizes are shown on each product page in inches and centimetres. Please check before ordering. Orientation (landscape or portrait) is chosen when you order.
- Colour and finish. Colours on a screen differ from colours on paper, and slight variations between print runs, screens and frames are normal. We aim to keep the look of each print consistent with the images on the website.
- Maps are not for navigation. Our prints are decorative artwork. They are drawn from public map data and information that is available to us, including club websites and published scorecards, and courses change over time. The prints are not to scale for any practical use, are not official scorecards or course guides, and must not be relied on for navigation, play, betting, planning, surveying or safety. We do our best to be accurate, but we do not guarantee that every feature, distance, par or date shown is complete, current or error-free.
- Frames. Framed prints arrive ready to hang. Please check hanging fittings suit your wall.
3. Placing an order
When you place an order we email you to acknowledge it. That email is not our acceptance. The contract between us is formed when we email you to confirm that your order has been accepted and is being made. If we cannot accept your order we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.
You must be at least 18 to place an order. Please check your details (especially the delivery address) before you pay. We are not responsible for delays or loss caused by an incorrect address that you gave us.
We sell to customers in the United Kingdom and the United States. We can't deliver to other destinations, even where the website lets you select them.
4. Custom course orders (“Your course, made for you”)
If your club isn't in the shop, you can order its map through our custom course product. You pay when you order and you give us the course name and location, and any notes.
- We check the course against the club's official details before we make the map. We will email you at the main stages.
- We may decline an order, for example where we cannot verify the course or its details. If we cannot make your map, we will refund you in full.
- Once made, the map may be added to the shop for other customers to buy. It is our artwork and we keep all rights in it (section 12).
- No 14-day cancellation right for UK customers. A custom course map is made to your specification, so the legal right to cancel in section 7 does not apply to it (regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013). If you want to cancel, contact us straight away. We will endeavour to cancel your order, but this is at our discretion and depends on how far the order has progressed.
- US customers. The same applies: if you ask us to cancel, we will endeavour to do so, at our discretion and depending on how far the order has progressed (section 8).
- Your rights if the print is faulty, damaged or not as described are not affected (section 9).
5. Prices, payment and tax
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) for UK customers and US dollars ($) for US customers, as shown at checkout.
- We are not currently registered for VAT, so UK prices do not include VAT. If this changes, we will say so on the website.
- Where we are required to collect sales tax, it is calculated at checkout from your delivery address.
- Payment is taken when you place your order using the payment methods offered at checkout, through our payment provider. We may carry out fraud checks and can refuse or cancel an order if a payment fails or looks suspicious.
- Pricing mistakes. We take care to price correctly. If we discover an obvious mistake after you order, we will contact you. You can then choose to keep the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund. If the correct price is lower than the price you paid, we will charge the lower price.
6. Delivery
- Shipping costs. Shipping on unframed prints is included in the price. Shipping on framed prints is shown at checkout before you pay.
- Timing. Because prints are made to order, we aim to dispatch within 2 to 5 working days. After dispatch, delivery usually takes around 3 to 7 working days within the UK and the US, though it can take longer at busy times. These are estimates and not promises. Framed prints are sometimes sent separately from other items.
- If something delays your order. If we expect a significant delay we will let you know. If we are unable to dispatch within 30 days of your order, you can cancel and we will refund you in full.
- Risk and ownership. The goods are at our risk until they are delivered to you. Ownership passes to you when we have received full payment for them.
- Taxes and import charges. If your parcel is crossing a border, your country's customs may charge duties or taxes. These are your responsibility and are not included in our prices unless the checkout says otherwise.
- Missed or failed delivery. If a delivery fails because the address was wrong, no one was available or the parcel was refused, the carrier may return it to us. We will contact you, and we may charge reasonable costs of sending it again.
7. UK customers: your right to cancel and return
If you are a consumer in the UK, you have a legal right to cancel an order, without giving any reason, from the moment you place it until 14 days after you receive the goods. This right is part of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. It does not apply to custom course maps, which are made to your specification (section 4).
- How to cancel. Tell us clearly that you want to cancel, using our contact page, with your order number. You can use any wording; you do not have to use a form.
- Returning the goods. Please contact us first so that we can give you the return address. You must send the goods back within 14 days of telling us you want to cancel. You pay the cost of returning them, unless they are faulty or not as described. Please pack them so they are not damaged. Framed prints are fragile.
- Take care of the goods. You are responsible for the goods until we receive them. We may reduce your refund if they are less valuable because you handled them more than was needed to see what they are like.
- Your refund. We refund the price of the goods and the standard delivery cost you paid, using the same payment method. We pay it within 14 days after we receive the goods back or you give us proof of return, whichever is sooner. If you chose a more expensive delivery option than our standard one, we cannot refund the extra.
8. US customers: returns
US customers are not covered by a general legal right to cancel an online order. Our policy is as follows.
- Each print is made to order, so we do not accept returns or exchanges because you changed your mind, ordered the wrong size or orientation, or the colours look different on screen.
- If you want to cancel straight after ordering, contact us right away. If your order has not gone into production, we will cancel it and refund you in full. We cannot cancel an order once it is in production. For custom course maps, we will endeavour to cancel, but this is at our discretion and depends on how far the order has progressed.
- If your order arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, see section 9.
9. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items (all customers)
If your order arrives damaged, misprinted, faulty or not what you ordered, please contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the problem and, for framed prints, of the packaging. We will usually ask you to keep the item rather than send it back until we have looked at it. We will then replace the item or refund you, including the cost of delivery. We do not need you to send an item back where a photo shows the fault.
If you are a consumer in the UK, you also have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their purpose and as described. If they are not, you can reject them within 30 days and get a refund, or ask for a repair or replacement and, in some cases, a price reduction or a refund. This does not limit your legal rights, and the 30-day request window above does not shorten them. These rights apply to custom course maps too.
We are not responsible for items that are damaged by use, a poor frame fitting or handling after delivery, or for differences in colour caused only by your screen.
10. When we can cancel or are not responsible
- We may cancel an order if we cannot make or deliver it, if we cannot verify a custom course, if there has been a pricing or listing mistake (section 5), if a payment is refused or looks fraudulent, or if our print partner cannot supply an item. We will tell you and refund you in full.
- We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as strikes, postal or courier problems, extreme weather, supplier failure, power or internet outages, or acts of government. If this happens, we will let you know and try to limit the effect on you.
11. Discount codes
Discount codes have an expiry date, can be used once per order and cannot be combined unless we say so. They may not apply to every product, have no cash value and can be withdrawn at any time. If you cancel or return an order, we refund what you paid, not the full price of the goods. We may cancel an order made with a code that was misused.
12. Intellectual property and map data credit
- Our artwork. The designs, layouts, text and images on the website and on our prints are owned by us or used with permission, and are protected by copyright. You may enjoy your print for personal use. You must not copy, scan, reproduce, resell or use our artwork commercially, or use it to train software, without our written permission.
- Map data. Our maps are made with data from OpenStreetMap. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (openstreetmap.org/copyright).
13. Not affiliated with clubs
We are an independent business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any golf club, resort, championship, tournament organiser or governing body. Course and club names appear only to identify the course shown. Names, marks and logos belong to their owners.
14. Our responsibility to you
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
- Subject to that, if we break these terms we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of the breach, up to the price you paid for the order concerned. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, and we are not responsible for loss of profit, business or opportunity if you are buying for business purposes.
- US customers. To the fullest extent the law allows, our products are provided without any warranty beyond those set out in these terms, and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Our total liability is limited to the price you paid for the order concerned, except where the law does not allow this.
15. Using the website
You must use the website lawfully. You must not scrape or copy it in bulk, interfere with it or its security, upload harmful code, or use it to infringe anyone's rights. We may suspend access if you break these rules. The website is provided as it is: we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We are not responsible for other websites that we link to.
16. Your personal information
How we collect and use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
17. Complaints and disputes
If you have a problem, please contact us first through our contact page. We will reply as quickly as we can and aim to sort it out fairly. For UK consumers, Citizens Advice can give free advice. We are not obliged to use, and are not currently signed up to, an alternative dispute resolution scheme, but we are always willing to talk to you. Disputes that cannot be resolved this way are decided by the courts as set out in section 18.
18. Governing law and courts
- These terms, and any dispute connected with them or your order, are governed by the law of England and Wales.
- UK customers. If you live in England or Wales, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can bring a claim in the courts of your home country or in England and Wales.
- US customers. You keep the mandatory consumer protection rights of the state where you live. Subject to those rights, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. Please contact us first to try to resolve it informally.
19. General
- Whole agreement. These terms, together with the information on the product page and checkout, make up the whole agreement between us about your order.
- Changes. We may update these terms and our policies. The terms in force when you ordered apply to your order (section 1).
- Parts that cannot be enforced. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- Not giving up our rights. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfer. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to another business that takes over our business, if your rights are not reduced.
- Third parties. Only you and we have rights under these terms. No one else can enforce them.
